The adapter allows you to keep remote control functions on the steering wheel for almost any aftermarket radios installed in your vehicle (only works for analogue resistive wheels). General supervision is exercised or a wired manner via an external input (mini-jack), or wireless via Infrared channels. The buttons on the steering wheel can be programmed for short or long presses to perform a variety of control commands to the radio.
